About Pix-l Products Services Ordering Customer Service

+ AGREEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

By placing an order with Pix-l Printing Inc, you agree to be bound with the following terms, conditions and policies. Please make sure you have read all of the below policies and terms before placing an order. Pix-l Printing Inc is not responsible if your order does not meet these terms and requirements. All clients are responsible for the accuracy of all artwork submitted to us via drop off, email, fax or mail on a disk. Clients are encouraged to proofread all the layouts, designs, and copy carefully before submitting. If you notice a mistake before the order was put into production; we will work with you to correct it.

+PRINTING ESTIMATES

We do not mind providing our clients with printing estimates for the work needed. However, this is just an estimate and may not always be accurate. In most cases, after the work has started, there are unseen charges (i.e. adjustments to your artwork that did not meet or follow Pix-l Printing art specification and file submission specifications). If this should occur, we will stop all work immediately, contact you and advise you of the problem and the charges, if applicable. We’re sure you’ll agree that it makes sense to insist that we will not be liable for performing graphic and printing services not quoted in the original estimates.

+PRINTING / CUTTING

  • Please note: In order to give you better than wholesale prices and the least expensive four-color prices in the country, we produce our printing jobs in a “gang” format on 6 and 8 color Heidelberg offset presses. We will make every effort to produce a reasonable representation of your job based on your supplied materials. Please note that colors are not 100% color accurate, accuracy will be within 92 –97% accurate. If your job is color critical, please request a match print or an Epson Color Proof. Make sure you have read the accompanying information in our file prep before you submit your file via drop off, email or mailing a disk. ALL files must have a 1/8” bleed all around. Please note that a $20 fee will be charged to create a bleed if it has not been incorporated in your files. Critical type andimages must be at least 1/4” or .25” at the least from the edge of the card.
  • It is strongly suggested that you do not use a thin border around your postcard. This may cause an uneven frame around your card. If you desire to have a border, it should be at least 1/4" thick.
  • In the unlikely event that an error has occurred during the production of a particular job, Pix-l Printing must be promptly notified of the problem. Pix-l Printing will then make a determination whether the defect is of such nature as to qualify for a discount or reprint.
  • Pix-l Printing is not responsible for type, art or images that are cut off if these guidelines are not followed. If you employ the services of third party designer, make sure that all file submission specifications are understood and followed. We want to make every printing experience a pleasing one, so if you have any questions, call us at 201.553.1200 and we will review your file free of charge.

+ PROOF APPROVAL AND CORRECTIONS

A signed proof or an email with your approval to print is required on all orders before printing. No phone changes will be considered final unless a fax or email is sent right after. A single proof will be sent to you via email, or mail if specified 1 to 2 hours after receiving your job. Corrections can be made after approval, if the file has not been plated. ALL File corrections include resizing, adding bleeds, color-correcting photos, moving panels to accommodate folding, and re-arranging graphic elements. If your job is color critical, please request a color print/match print to be mailed to you. Proofs include an emailed PDF or JPEG file.

+ PRODUCTION

After the initial order is placed and your files have been successfully either uploaded, emailed, or mailed, a PIX-L PRINTING rep will review your files at no charge. PIX-L PRINTING will only check your files for items that would prevent the job from being printed such as resolution, color mode, and missing fonts and images. PIX-L PRINTING will not render any opinions regarding the artistic quality of the job (for example does the job look good, are the colors used clashing with each other, is type too big or too small, etc.). If everything is OK, an online proof will be generated and an email will be sent to you directing you where to go and view your proof. Once payment information is received and an order enters production, Pix-l Printing cannot accept any cancellations. There are also no refunds or returns after this point.
  • Our posted turnaround times begin ONLY after an order has been fully processed
  • Files are checked on a first come first served basis. You will then receive an e-mail whether there is a problem with your order. If your files are set up correctly you will receive an e-mail with a link to your on-line proofs.
  • Please note that your monitor's calibration affects what you see on your screen. The colors on the printed cards may differ from what you see on your screen. These proofs are meant only as a rough draft of the final printed card. If this is a re-print of an old order we strongly suggest you mail one of the old cards to us so we may try to match colors. We also suggest that if your job is color critical, you purchase a hard copy color proof from PIX-L PRINTING. Please keep in mind that while we will try our best to match your old card or the color proof, PIX-L PRINTING DOES NOT GUARANTEE COLOR MATCHING.
  • Although we rarely miss production schedules, the printing and pre-press process involves equipment which is subject to malfunctions and/or equipment failure. We will always do everything in our power to make sure that any production problems do not delay your job. However, please note that ALL production and delivery times ARE NOT CONTRACTUAL and no turnaround time can be guaranteed. No verbal or written correspondence by anyone at Pix-l Printing can change that. Please try to plan date sensitive materials timely.
